The group sings for the Sunday worship service and all special services during the year (September – June). It is comprised of all volunteers except for professional leaders in the soprano, tenor and bass sections. They rehearse each Thursday evening from 7:30-9:15 and Thursday morning from 10:45-12:00 for those who cannot make the evening rehearsal. They also perform with the other choirs for a festive concert of Christmas music in December.
ADULT HANDBELL CHOIR
This group rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6:45-7:30. They ring usually every 4-6 weeks, sometimes by themselves, with the choir or during communion.
This group sings with the Adult Choir and by themselves usually once a month. It is for youth in grades 6-12. They rehearse once a week. The time is determined each year by their schedules.
YOUTH HANDBELL CHOIR
Open to all youth grades 6-12 they ring usually every 6 weeks and for special occasions.
This group is open to children in K-5th grade. It meets each year at a time agreeable to their schedules. They learn vocal production through worship songs and sing by themselves and sometimes with the other choirs.
CHILDREN’S HANDBELL/CHIME CHOIR
Open to children in K-5th grade, this group learns the basic techniques of handbell ringing by using handchimes. They rehearse right after the children’s choir. One does not have to belong to both groups. They ring in worship when they are prepared.
