Presbyterian Women (PW) is an independent organization within the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) that offers women in our church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women. Once becoming a member of the Bound Brook Church, you become a member of Presbyterian Women–all women are welcome. The Coordinating Team of PW works to offer an assortment of program topics throughout the year and schedules these programs at various times in order to provide an opportunity for all the women in our church to attend. In addition to our general meetings, there is the Thursday Afternoon Circle and an annual retreat that is planned in cooperation with the Christian Education Commission. The After Hours Bible Study is another integral part of PW and utilizes the PW Horizons resources for its curriculum.
There have been many worldwide and local life-changing programs and missions initiated and supported by PW, and many of which our Church has been a part. Also, through Church Women United, our PW joins with other Bound Brook area churches in fellowship and mission projects. PW is responsible for the Bake Table and Attic Treasures at the annual Peace on Earth Market (POEM).
We look forward to introducing women to PW, as we continue in the tradition of supporting the mission of the church, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, building our inclusive, caring community, and witnessing to the promise of God’s kingdom.
