Presbyterian Women

Did you know that the Letter to the Hebrews is a significant book of the Bible and is also significantly different from every other book of the Bible?  It consists of 13 chapters, all of which are packed with theology, metaphor, comparisons, and spirituality.  This year’s study explores nine major themes, relates those themes to other parts of our faith tradition, and ties them together with the overarching motif of community. The After Hours Bible Study is a group of about 20-25 women some of whom have been meeting once a month on the fourth Monday (except for holiday conflicts) for over 30 years.  This year the study is “Cloud of Witness: The Community of Christ in Hebrews.”All women are welcome—our ages range from 20-80 years young.  Study guides have been ordered (10) and are due to arrive early September.  The study guides are $8.50.  Contact Jane Settle, 732-356-6313 for a copy.  First come, first served, or if you want to order your own through Horizons, the magazine of Presbyterian Women, please contact Jane. Our meeting time is 7:30 p.m.   Save the following dates for our meetings:  Nov. 27, Dec. 18, Jan. 22, Feb. 26, March 26, April 23, May 21 and June 11 (picnic).
